The workforce is changing. We are beginning to see it now. During this past recession, the high unemployment rate and availability of candidates has masked a much more serious problem…the “Qualified Talent Shortage.” Beginning this year, one-half million more employees will exit the workforce than will enter.Talent acquisition will change. The way corporations fill critical open positions will change. The talent pool will become shallow and the availability of qualified candidates will decrease. What is the solution? Corporate recruiters, professional recruiters and talent acquisition specialists will need to locate qualified candidates in non-traditional ways. One of the best methods to find good talent will be to find candidates where they get together…at job networking groups. The Scioto Ridge Job Networking Group has become the largest job-networking group in Central Ohio. For nearly four years, we have attracted the best professional talent and have helped hundreds of mid-career professionals get back to work. The mission of the Scioto Ridge Job Networking Group is: “To help mid-career professionals find good jobs.” Our membership has grown to over 1200 members and alumni who meet in 6 churches in the Central Ohio area. Many companies have become affiliated with Scioto Ridge and hired our highly qualified members just by spending a little time at our chapter meetings. We not only provide a forum for networking, we proved education to our members to help them sell their skills accurately, effectively, professionally, and quickly. We have heard from several recruiting professionals that this is one aspect they appreciate most. Beginning March 1, 2010, we are offering a Corporate Membership Program. We would very much like for you to become a Corporate Member of the Scioto Ridge Job Networking Group. Corporate Membership will be $100 per year, the same as Individual Membership. Corporate membership will allow you access to our website, www.srjng.com, which contains profiles and resumes of our members. Corporate Membership allows you to attend all chapter meetings, be involved in the small group networking sessions, and become a guest speaker if you are interested. In addition, Corporate Members will have the following benefits: Advertising on our website, www.srjng.com Unlimited number of job postings targeted at mid-career professionals Very low-cost announcements for your special events in our weekly email blast Announcements on our Events Calendar Purchasing a display table at our quarterly “Gathering” meetings Purchasing a display table at our Career Resource Fairs Sponsoring Seminars or Alumni Events Sponsoring other special events as announced throughout the year Employers and employees alike have been affected by the recession and the ensuing reductions in force. By joining SRJNG as a Corporate Member, you can continue to support many local organizations, out-of-work professionals, and those who have landed. Each benefit is explained below. You can be as active as you wish in Scioto Ridge JNG and apply your funds in any area that best meets your needs. Advertising on the Website The advertising schedule for our website can be found at the bottom of the website home page at www.srjng.com . Just click on “Advertising Opportunities”. Depending upon the location of your ad, the costs range from $300 to $450 per quarter. Posting Open Positions on the Website There will be no cost for any member to post an open position on our website. Non-members will be charged $50 for a 30 day posting. Weekly Email Blast If you would like to announce a seminar, meeting or other event on our weekly email blast, the cost will be $100 per email blast (if you are charging for the event) or $25 per email blast if your event is free. This fee also includes placing your event on our “Events Calendar” Display Tables We are going to have a number of display tables available at our quarterly “Gathering” meetings. It will be a great time for all of our corporate members to reach a large number of members in transition or SRJNG alumni. Unless otherwise notified in advance, reserving a display table at a quarterly “Gathering” meeting or at a SRJNG Sponsored Career Resource Fair will be $100 per event.
